The 1987 movie “Dirty Dancing,” which is all about romance and dance, has turned into a favorite for many people. It has motivated tons of fans to pick up dance steps and try out that famous lift scene.
The film stars Johnny Castle, played by Patrick Swayze, and Frances “Baby” Houseman, portrayed by Jennifer Grey. It tells the tale of a young girl who develops feelings for a dance teacher during her holiday.
Just like any other movie, “Dirty Dancing” has some mistakes and parts that didn’t make it into the final cut. A lot of these scenes are never shown to the public, leaving fans wondering what they missed. Usually, only special viewers get to check out these hidden moments.
In this cut scene, Johnny Castle is showing Frances Houseman how to dance for their show at the Sheldrake. You can see Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey really getting into their roles.
Emile Ardolino, the casting director, was really determined to have the performers do their own dancing.
It’s interesting to note that Grey got along better with Swayze compared to the other actors who were also being considered for the part.
